PhoTOP stands for photon excited phosphorescence top.
When you shine a 405nm (near ultraviolet/violet) LED on the top of the top and move the light around, you can see spirals and other patterns developing and changing. You can also compare the effects of different light sources – like the white LED light on your smartphone.
