RATTLEBACK "Reversing Direction" Spinning Top
A Rattleback "reversing rotation" spinning top is a semi-ellipsoidal spinning top that will spin on its axis in a preferred direction. If spun in the opposite direction, it becomes unstable, "rattles" to a stop and reverses its rotation in the preferred direction.
Archaeologists exploring Celtic and ancient Egyptian sites in the 19th century found objects that exhibited the reverse motion. This one made from Plastic.
