The history of the Bonbonniere de Marie is closely linked to the history of the Parc des Mars and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. From the creation of the military school in 1751 and Bastille Day on July 14, 1790 to the construction of the Eiffel Tower in 1889, the park has experienced many different events, including the creation of a small green paradise with small huts and historical monuments built for Napoleon III.
This historic place was moved to in 1985 by Véronique Lemesle. At first she was a candy seller with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, Véronique had the idea of creating an Eiffel Tower spinner which earned her the Lépine Medal of Invention in 2003. In addition, there is a sword under the spinner, this is the sword of "Marie bonbonniere" to ensure the authenticity that the spinner is made in France.
The Eiffel Tower-designed spinning top by Véronique Lemesle is a uniquely Parisian toy and souvenir, which has enjoyed great success since winning a medal at the famous Concours Lépine for inventors in 2003.
