Story behind this top

The Mader hybrid spinning top is a remarkable piece from the Austrian manufacturer, known for its handcrafted wooden toys. It was added to my collection thanks to my eldest daughter, who is currently pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship in Austria. Founded in 1991, Mader is celebrated for its unique spinning tops, characterized by a distinctive burnt stripe at the equator.
